Our 2030 goal

Make clean charging the affordable choice for Kenya.

By 2050, we aim to help replace 1 billion kilometres of fossil-fuel driving with electric kilometres across Kenya.

Pulse lets you charge your EV at home, while Pod stores backup energy so you can keep charging when the grid is unreliable. You can get either one through Lipa Pole Pole on M-Pesa, with the full price shown upfront before you commit. Charging Hub labels every site Open, Coming Soon, or Partner.

Why it matters

Every kilometre starts with charging that works.

People feel this in the money they spend, the time vehicles sit still, and the air on the streets they use.

A cheaper day on the road

Drivers

Home charging for a typical 60 km day is published in KES next to diesel, so the saving is easy to check before you switch.

Pay over months, not all at once

Households

Lipa Pole Pole on M-Pesa shows the full Pulse and Pod price before you confirm, then splits it into monthly instalments.

One energy bill instead of a moving diesel price

Businesses

Fleet charging at the depot, with the site monitored and one team behind the install.

Cleaner air on the streets people use

Communities

Less exhaust where bodas, vans and cars actually run.

Jobs & towns

Every install needs fitters, operators and technicians — not only drivers.

Home chargers, swap cabinets and highway stops need people nearby to survey, fit, run and repair them.

Installers and hub hosts

Local jobs

Home chargers, swap cabinets and highway chargers all need people to fit, run and fix them as the network grows.

Technicians

Field training on the chargers we deploy — install, fault-finding and handover to the customer.

Operators

Boda swap in under five minutes. Fleet charging while vehicles are parked — sized to the working day.

Power for the business

Shops & SMEs

Solar, storage and charging sized for fridges, tills and back-office load — one survey, one install team.

2030 goals

Six goals for 2030.

The 1 billion kilometre figure is a 2050 ambition, not a running total.

  1. Goal 1

    Cheaper than diesel

  2. Goal 2

    Honest Hub labels

  3. Goal 3

    Lipa Pole Pole

  4. Goal 4

    Solar on hubs

  5. Goal 5

    Battery recycling

  6. Goal 6

    Carbon study

Batteries

We maintain, repair and reuse packs before they are recycled.

Pod energy storage and boda swap batteries are watched and serviced in the field. A contracted recycling partner in Kenya is a 2030 goal, not a live take-back scheme. Modular Pod Stack is conceptual and not on sale.

  1. 01

    Watch

Remote monitoring on hubs and home units we maintain.

  2. 02

    Service

Preventive checks before a fault takes a charger offline.

  3. 03

    Repair

    Fix hardware before replacing it.

  4. 04

    Reuse

Suitable packs used for backup power where that makes sense.

  5. 05

    Collect

End-of-life batteries picked up through a Kenya partner by 2030.

  6. 06

    Recycle

Materials recovered under Kenya's rules for taking back used products.

Reporting

What you can check on this site today, and what we still have to publish.

We do not show annual impact reports or outside certificates until the counting method is ready. The 1 billion kilometre target stays labelled as an ambition until then.

1 billion km

A 2050 ambition — not a live counter

By 2050, we aim to help replace 1 billion kilometres of fossil-fuel driving with electric kilometres across Kenya. That number is a target. We will publish how we count before any running total appears on this page.
